Yes, Florida has specific requirements to be eligible to sit for the real estate exam. Most applicants must complete a 63-hour pre-licensing education course before they are allowed to sit for the exam. Additionally, they must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
The Florida Real Estate Exam is an examination administered by Pearson VUE that tests your knowledge of real estate principles and practices. Florida licensees are required to renew their license every two years based on the issue date of the initial license. A total of 14 hours of continuing education is required.
Upon arriving, you will be asked for the items above and will be given a form to fill out. You will then be asked to stand in front of a camera for a picture that will appear on the pass/fail end of test form.
You will be asked to put your personal items in a locker and you can only take a non-programmable calculator in the testing room. No food, drink, candy, or gum is allowed in the testing room. No items are allowed in pockets of clothing, and Kleenex will be furnished if needed. The testing room is monitored by cameras and a staff member will escort you in and out of the room. The security rules are strictly enforced. A pencil and a sheet of paper will be furnished for notes and math problems.
You will be escorted by a staff member into the testing room to a user-friendly computer-based terminal that will be used for the exam. The staff member will give a brief explanation of how to use the testing equipment.
You will be given a total of 3.5 hours to complete the examination. Use the time wisely. The computer allows you to mark the questions that may need more time to answer and then go back to them once the easier questions are answered.
Remember, the goal is to answer as many questions correctly as possible, and this allows better use of the time. There is no penalty for guessing.
You MUST bring the Rowlett Real Estate School completion certificate for the required course to the exam center NOT the “wall certificate”. A copy of the completion certificate is accepted.
You MUST bring two forms of valid non-expired identification with you to your appointment. One must be a photo bearing government-issued identification. Signatures are required to be on both forms of Identification.
If you do not have the required items with you, you will be considered absent and will be denied access to the examination room. You will forfeit the full examination fee.
A military discount of 10% off is available for the classroom course only. You can receive the discount by emailing us a copy of your DD-214 when you register online.
Students must have served in a branch of the Armed Forces. These may include Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Marines.
Email a copy of your DD-214 to rowlettschool@rres.com. When you register for the course, you will see the option to take advantage of the military discount.
Yes, snacks and drinks are permitted in the classroom as long as you keep your area clean and don’t disturb the class.
You will need a highlighter, Pen, Paper, and a simple calculator.
Only the spouse of Active Military personnel can take advantage of the military discount for our classroom course only.

No, we do not give a military discount for the online course. Our online courses are prices at the lowest we can price them for everyone. However, we do offer a $10 off promo code for those who would like to take advantage of it.
Yes, you can. We have instructors available between the hours of 8 am and 5:30 pm. Monday through Friday. If you send us an email with your questions, we will also answer them over the weekend and at night.

Two common reasons your course is missing from your account;
1.) Check to make sure your course has not expired. When your course expires, it will no longer be available for you to access it.
- You can get your course extended for 1, 3, or 6 months past the original expiration date.
2) Check to make sure you are logging into the right account. Many times students will have two accounts and not realize they are logging into the wrong account.
- Call Tech Support and they can determine if you have created more than one account.
The Classroom 7-Day Course offered by Rowlett Real Estate School is open to anyone wishing to pursue a real estate license. The course covers all of the topics necessary to prepare you for the Florida Real Estate Exam, including real estate law, principles of practice, contracts, and mathematics.

The cost of the Classroom 7-Day Course and the Livestream Classes at Rowlett Real Estate School is $450. This cost covers tuition for all seven days as well as the textbook and all other course materials.

The total amount of time it takes to complete the course exam will depend on your individual performance, though it typically takes around 3 hours.

The duration of the Florida online real estate school course on zoom and in the classroom is 7 days. There is a process to getting approved to take the state exam that involves getting your fingerprints done and application with the state. This can be done before you take the class, while you are taking the class or after you take the class. Just keep in mind that it takes a couple of weeks or more to get your approval from the state. If you go ahead and get your approval, you can take your state exam the day after your class is over. Upon passing, you will have a real estate license that is issued to you inactive until you are employed with a broker. All together, it is possible to get your real estate license in as little as three to four weeks if you time everything right.
The cost for enrolling in a Live Real Estate License Class is $450. The price includes exam preparation material that you can access in your account. The cost of your book for the class is separate and must be ordered in advance.
The primary difference between Sales Associates and Brokers is the level of responsibility in regard to real estate transactions. Sales associates are required to work under a broker’s supervision and must pass the state real estate license exam before they can practice real estate sales. Brokers, however, are responsible for their own business and for overseeing the activities of Sales Associates who work for them.
